These Terms and Policies govern your access to and use of the Easykonnet platform and the services made available through it. Easykonnet Digital Services Limited operates a professional service marketplace connecting customers with verified service providers. By using Easykonnet, you agree to comply with the applicable terms, policies and responsibilities set out below.
1. General Terms
1.1 Scope of Agreement
This Legal & Policy Document Suite governs the use of the Easykonnet Platform, owned and operated by Easykonnet Digital Services Limited.
By accessing or using the Platform, users agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them.
1.2 Nature of the Platform
Easykonnet is a professional service marketplace connecting:
- service users or Customers; and
- verified service providers or Providers.
Easykonnet acts as an intermediary platform connecting Customers and Providers.
Easykonnet is not itself the provider of the professional services booked through the Platform.
1.3 Updates to These Terms
Easykonnet may update these Terms and Policies periodically.
Material updates will be communicated to registered users in advance.
2. User Registration & Accounts
2.1 Eligibility
Users must:
- be at least 18 years old; and
- have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Nigerian law.
2.2 Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Users are responsible for activity carried out through their accounts.
Users should promptly notify Easykonnet where they believe their account has been compromised or accessed without authorisation.
2.3 Provider Verification
Service Providers must complete Easykonnet’s verification process before they can operate as verified Providers on the Platform.
The verification process may include:
- identity checks;
- professional background reviews;
- submission of identification documents;
- submission of professional credentials; and
- administrative review by the Easykonnet team.
A verified Provider status is required before listing services.
Providers must provide accurate and genuine documents.
False or misleading verification information is prohibited.
3. Platform Services & Bookings
3.1 Booking Process
Customers can discover Providers and book services through the Easykonnet Platform.
Prices may operate within ranges established on the Platform to support fairness and consistency.
3.2 Payment at Booking
Customers pay the applicable service fee through Paystack as part of the Easykonnet payment process.
3.3 Payment Holding and Service Completion
Customer funds are held under Easykonnet’s payment process pending successful service delivery and confirmation.
Payment is not released to the Provider immediately after the Customer pays.
Payment is released according to Easykonnet’s applicable service-completion, confirmation and dispute rules.
3.4 Customer Confirmation
Following service delivery, the Customer may confirm that the job has been completed.
Where applicable, the dispute and payment-release rules stated below apply.
4. Service Provider Terms
4.1 Provider Responsibilities
Every Service Provider using Easykonnet must:
- deliver services professionally;
- deliver services on time;
- maintain appropriate quality standards;
- respond promptly to Customer bookings;
- respond appropriately to Customer messages;
- provide truthful information about their qualifications and services;
- comply with applicable Nigerian laws; and
- avoid off-platform payment arrangements.
4.2 Verification Requirements
Verification documents are reviewed by the Easykonnet administrative team.
A Provider must obtain verified status before listing services.
Submission of false, altered, fraudulent or misleading documents is prohibited.
4.3 Provider Wallet
Verified Providers have access to an in-app wallet for tracking:
- earnings;
- completed jobs;
- transaction history;
- applicable deductions; and
- withdrawals.
Bank accounts used for withdrawals must comply with Easykonnet’s applicable verification requirements, including BVN-linked requirements where applicable.
5. Payment Structure
5.1 Overview
Easykonnet’s Payment Structure governs financial transactions carried out through the Platform.
It explains:
- how Customers pay;
- how funds move through the Platform;
- how Easykonnet earns commission;
- how Provider payouts are determined; and
- how Paystack supports payment processing.
The payment structure is designed to be:
- fair to Service Providers;
- affordable for Customers;
- sustainable for Easykonnet; and
- enforceable through the Platform.
5.2 Easykonnet Commission
Easykonnet charges a flat 10% commission on every successfully completed and confirmed transaction.
The commission is deducted automatically before payment is released to the Provider.
The Provider receives 90% of the agreed service fee, subject to applicable Paystack fees and other disclosed deductions.
5.3 Payment Processing
Easykonnet uses Paystack as its primary payment processor.
Customer payments are initiated through Paystack.
5.4 Payment Flow
The Easykonnet payment process may include the following stages:
- Booking
- Customer Payment
- Payment Hold
- Provider Notification
- Service Delivery
- Customer Confirmation
- Commission Deduction
- Provider Payout
During the payment-hold stage:
- payment has not yet been released to the Provider;
- the payment status can be reflected through the Easykonnet Platform; and
- applicable dispute rules continue to apply.
5.5 Provider Payout
Following successful service completion and confirmation, Easykonnet deducts its applicable commission and initiates the Provider payout.
Provider payouts are generally initiated within 1–2 business days of job confirmation, subject to payment-processing requirements and applicable dispute restrictions.
6. Refunds & Disputes
6.1 Dispute Window
A Customer has 24 hours after marking a job as complete to raise a dispute.
Where no dispute is raised within the applicable 24-hour period, payment may be released to the Provider according to Easykonnet’s payment-release process.
6.2 Raising a Dispute
Disputes should be submitted through the Easykonnet Platform.
Customers may be required to provide supporting evidence such as:
- photographs;
- videos;
- relevant chat logs;
- service records; or
- other information relevant to the complaint.
6.3 Provider Response
The Provider may be given up to 48 hours to respond to the complaint.
6.4 Easykonnet Review
The Easykonnet Dispute Resolution Team reviews the evidence submitted by the parties.
Easykonnet aims to review the available evidence and reach a decision within 3 business days.
Disputed funds remain frozen under the applicable payment process until the dispute is resolved.
6.5 Refunds
Where a refund is approved, Easykonnet may initiate the appropriate reversal through the applicable payment process.
Refunds are generally returned to the original payment method.
Depending on the circumstances, Easykonnet may approve:
- a full refund;
- a partial refund; or
- another appropriate split resolution.
Providers found to have delivered fraudulent services or engaged in serious misconduct may face suspension or other enforcement action.
7. Prohibited Conduct
Easykonnet is committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy marketplace.
Users and Providers must not:
- provide false, inaccurate or misleading information during registration;
- engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices;
- use Easykonnet in violation of applicable law;
- use the Platform for illegal services or unauthorised purposes;
- arrange off-platform payments between Customers and Providers;
- share account credentials;
- obtain unauthorised access to another person's account;
- harass, threaten or abuse other users;
- engage in unprofessional conduct; or
- misuse Platform functionality.
Violations may lead to:
- account restriction;
- suspension;
- permanent removal from the Platform; and
- other appropriate enforcement actions.
Easykonnet may report suspected unlawful activity to relevant Nigerian regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where appropriate.
8. Liability & Indemnity
8.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Nigerian law, Easykonnet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform.
This includes, where legally applicable:
- service quality or service outcomes;
- disputes or interactions between users;
- Platform outages or downtime; and
- unauthorised access to user accounts.
8.2 User Indemnity
Users agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Easykonnet, its directors, officers, employees and agents against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses arising from or connected with:
- violation of these Terms;
- breach of applicable law;
- services provided or received through the Platform; or
- false or inaccurate information supplied during registration or Platform use.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
9.1 Governing Law
These Terms and the related Easykonnet policy documents are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The legal framework referenced by the Easykonnet Policy Suite includes:
- Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020;
- Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023;
- Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act 2015;
- Central Bank of Nigeria Act 2007; and
- Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018.
9.2 Dispute Resolution Process
Where a dispute arises between a user and Easykonnet Digital Services Limited, the parties agree to follow the applicable resolution process.
Step 1 — Informal Resolution
The user should first contact Easykonnet’s Customer Support Team to seek an informal resolution.
Step 2 — Mediation
Where informal resolution is unsuccessful, the matter may proceed to non-binding mediation.
Step 3 — Arbitration
Where mediation does not resolve the dispute, the dispute may be referred to arbitration under the applicable Nigerian arbitration framework, including the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
Step 4 — Court Relief
Nothing prevents a party from seeking urgent injunctive or declaratory relief from a court where legally necessary.
